Why aren’t more people making a full-time living farming on their homesteads? The homesteading movement is huge compared to the amount of people going into regenerative agriculture. However, once you have, say, a flock of chickens, it’s not much extra work to have a thousand chickens. So why are so many people working off-site to pay for their hobby, when it’ s possible to get started with small scale farming on sub-€20,000 investments and be making money in the first year, paying back expenses?
In today’s video, I’ll share some more thoughts on this as well as a recording from a presentation I gave on the topic, which includes an overview of the key numbers in a couple of our primary enterprises.
What’s stopping you from making a living on your homestead or small farm?
